1)Global Hunger Index
In 2020, India occupied 94th rank out of 107 nations in Global Hunger index. It has been found estimated 189.2 million people in India are undernourished. Which is 14% of total population. In which 51.4% are women between age 15 to 49, 34.7% are children stunted under age 5 years, 20% of the children are underweight. By looking this we can easily understand what is showing to us and what is really happening behind us.
Fact:- Every year India waste food Approximately 67 million tonne which is worth about 55,600 crore. By which we can feed 124 million people. Just imagine how unequal India is.
2)Oxfam inequality index
Recently oxfam has released the list of inequality among the poor nad rich and they found India in 129th position out of 158 countries. And also they found that more than 70% of the Indian wealth is in the hand of 1% Indian Population. Which shows Rich are becoming more rich and poor remains poor. This situation is occurring Just because of Privatisation of all Government properties.
3) Water Quality Index
Water scarcity and worst quality of water has shrunk almost many part of India. In recent report India drop to 120th position out 122 countries. It has found that almost 80 Percent of rural household don't have the water tap facility. Mostly in part of Mumbai, Rajasthan etc etc have huge scarcity of water. In niti aayog report it is found that almost 80% of the population face water problem and every year approximately 2 lakh people died for this scarcity.
4) Happiness Index
India's rank come in last buttom 15 countries.which is really one of worst condition for India. India got 144th rank in 156 countries.where the country like Pakistan secured 66th position.
5) Press Freedom Index
India fall to 140th position out of 180 countries in press freedom Index. Many of the journalist has come out and said that just because they are not working for government they faces many problems to publish newses ..this has been said by many journalist like Abhishar sharma,punya prasun bajpayee and lot. From few years we have observed media has destroyed very badly.
At last if our country is really going down then instead of arguing it's our duty to see where we've lagging and for that we all collaborately work to progress our nation toward world power.
